I didn't want to overload my contents page as i have seen some examples do. I decided to limit the amount of features mentioned to 'on the cover' and 'regulars' and just have the most mentionable pages down.
i chose a pale pink background to keep in with my feminine colour scheme, i also used the font cheri again from dafont.
Below is an image i am constructing to advertise a competition prize. I took the image from GOOGLE, then on PHOTOSHOP i removed the background and gave it a pink border to make it stand out more against the pale pink. I then resized the image and found a suitable place for it on my contents.
In this image you can see i have used the 'popsugar' logo in the corner, i believe this is the benefit of a logo as you can continue to use it and achieve a brand for your magazine. I gave the word 'contents' an outline of purple to allow it to stand out and also complyw ith my scheme.
You can see i have added other images one half of a white divide and constructed page references on the other, this is a professional technique i learned when researching magazines.

This is an image i took quickly of one of my friends to add to the contents page. Its an intriguing image of another youthful attractive female, so it is suitable for my magazine.
Below is my final production. I've used a variety of fonts, text and images, colours. I think it looks authentic and convincing as a piece of real media
