here i am editing an image i took of another friend to add variation to the chracter on my front cover, i have cropped it from its original background and gave it a white border.
This is a template of my proposed magazine, i've put my main image central and marked areas i would like to add text and images. i've also added borders to the top and bottom of the page.
returning to this image i have cropped more of the image, as it will only be small on my cover i thought it was more important to focus on the face and identity of the artist.
here i am beginning to develop my magazine, i've added the other image into a purple box in the corner, this is something evident of other existing magazines.I've decided to make the nterview about my artist's trip to america and so i want to create the font using an american flag. Below are images of the steps i took;
i saved this image using google search engine, i also located a font on dafont named 'reslani'.
I decided to make 'daisy' the stars and and 'america' the stripes, i wrote each letter on to the part of the flg and then cropped it out.

I decided to make 'daisy' the stars and and 'america' the stripes, i wrote each letter on to the part of the flg and then cropped it out.Then i needed to situate it onto my cover, i didnt want to distract from my main image.
The text didnt stand out as much as i'd hoped and so this is an image of me giving it a more visible white border.
I put the text on an angle just below daisy's face as this is were story titles normally go.
here i have changed the borders to pink to suit my colour scheme more and make my magazine more feminine for my audience
i recognised there was not enough on my cover however and so here i am repeated the earlier process of cutting out an image i took from it's background and giving it a visible border so it stand out.
this is a draft of my cover, on this there is a more developed logo, now three images, pink coloured bored and a more developed text.
This is a cover that has a final logo on it, i wa snot pleased with the appearance of the earlier examples. Also i added more text to the 'daisy vs america' feature. I've also added text to the image at the bottom, all the text was giving an outline as it was difficult to see over the images.
To add authenticity i added a barcode, price and date to my magazine, these are typical conventions.
This is my final piece, in my borders is text advertising what the magazine promises. I've also adjusted the feature in the top corner, adding visible text and changing the dark purple for lighter pink. I am very pleased with my front cover i think it looks like a well produced media text and has all the features of a typical magazine
