Initial Ideas

Some of our initial ideas for our film were:
Action Film (The bourne supremacy, James Bond, XXX etc)
Zombie film (28 Days and Weeks later, Dawn of the dead, shawn of the dead)
English Indie (this is england, trainspotting)
stoner film (harold and kumar, friday)

We narrowed the choices down after watching the examples mentioned and decided which would be the most suitable and achievable. We decided against doing:

Action Film- explosions and gunshots etc are hard to replicate and the costume would be difficult to make look realistic on no budget.

Stoner film- may have "bad" connotations or may be unsuitable for an AS film. Limited acting resources to find people that can act like they are "stoned".

Therefore, we settled on an English Indie Zombie film as our concept; the costume will be difficult to replicate, but easily affordable to get the equipment together. We also live an area suitable to film in. Another reason is due to a genuine interest in Zombie films, and we feel our experience from watching other films will help us succeed in producing a good final product.

Preliminary

Before we started to film our final project we decided to film a prelim. This was so that we could get comfortable with the equipment used to film, edit etc. a film. The prelim includes; a man entering a room and the starting a conversation, and then a man dissappears. The prelim has alot wrong with it, although it has enabled us to see these mistakes, and not make them with our final piece.
