I tried to attract my audience to my magazine in the same way that NME attract their audience as my target audience is quite similar. So, like NME, I used a strong image for my front cover that I felt had 'attitude'. used bright colours, a variety of bold, grungy fonts, and content that my audience would probably like to read, such as interviews from alternative/indie bands, tour dates and album reviews.
The above images are examples of some of the features I used in my double page spread to attract my audience. I used vibrant colours (in this case yellow) mixed with bold, scruffy fonts and darker colours such as black and grey to give my magazine a grungy atmosphere which I think my readers would like.
