For the front page I choose a pose I found on the internet of a idol of the metal scene, “Oliver Sykes”, but I decided to manipulate the pose to add a little “aggression” to my front page to make it seem more interesting and original, I did this by adding a “grrr” face to the pose and make it look like all the effort was put into ripping the jacket off.

Another influence I took for the live photo shoot was the image of “jade Puget” another big artist in the scene social groups I took the similar low angle shot looking up as it gives the feel to the reader as though they are at the gig.

These are typical images of “scene” kids of whom I was aiming to get my magazine out to, from ages 14 to 24 and onwards. My magazine depicts this social group mainly due to the hair style and the “59fifty” hat as this is typical wear of “scene” kids.

I used this dress scheme as in the likes of metal hammer and kerrang it is very unusual to see this type of head wear. Mainly as kerrang is aimed at the punk/ rock scene, and metal hammer is aimed at the heavy metal/metal head scene. So I thought this would help make my magazine individual as this scene is not really catered for.
