Evaluation Question 2

How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Taylor Swift and Lucie Evans

I chose this image to copy for my magazine as it is fun looking an relaxed rather than a static pose you normally see in a magazine where the model has been told exactly where to stand and what to do like the picture below.

My picture of Lucie is a spur of the moment shot and took me a lot of takes to get the exact image and position that looked right. The shot of Taylor also looks like a spur of the moment capture and may have taken a couple of shots to get the desired look but both are free moving and dynamic shots.

Both pictures have been taken with a white background with white lighting to draw attention to the girls hair that is being flicked around and to make sure all the attention is on them and the background is not distracting.

Taylor's costume is a white t-shirt with a black vest top underneath. This gives the picture a casual daytime look. Lucie's costumes however is again a black vest top but worn look jeans and a black leather jacket. This is because she is going for a rock chick look as it says on the picture and with her having long dark hair it needed to be different to Taylor's blond hair.

My front page picture

My front page picture needed to be smiley and advertising to the audience so i chose a similar pose and feel to the magazine on the right.
