Locations etc

I used one location for the photoshoot, this was the studio located in the media department. It had a white backdrop and cover for the floor to create the illusion that the model is in a white room. The white background keeps the focus on the model instead of the background and also gives me, the creator, a blank canvas to work from. I decided to dress my model in smart clothing to show a glamorous element within the photographs. Additionally, if a person is well dressed in smart, modern clothing, it gives off a feeling of wealth and money, which well known singers and bands tend to have much of.

I have used Megan Scrivens as my model for the magazine and I have taken a variety of photographs of her to use. I decided to edit these photos in photoshop to make them look more professional and realistic for a magazine cover. For the front cover photograph, I used the 'spot healer' tool to hide any visible blemishes on the face, I have also used the 'stamper' tool to get rid of any dirty marks on the white background. I also found the original photograph to be slightly dark, due to this, I have used the brightness and contrast adjustment to lighten the photograph up. (As seen below)
