Even though three characters will be wearing a uniform and two characters will be wearing casual clothing, each outfit will vary. The character played by Jake will wear a male detective uniform, the character played by Shanika will wear a female detective uniform, the character played by Ben will wear a forensic scientist uniform and the characters played by James and Emma will be dressed in casual, everyday clothes since they are not at work. Below are a few examples of uniforms for the three main characters.

A bad example of what Jake’s uniform could look like is the one that is worn by Steve Martin in the 2006 film, The Pink Panther.


A better example of what Jake’s uniform would look like is the one that is worn by the character "Bob” in Hot Fuzz. This uniform is more appropriate than the previous example because is it a lot more modern looking.


This outfit worn by Sandra Bullock in the 2002 film Murder By Numbers is a bad example of what Shanika’s uniform could look like because it resembles the costume of an assassin rather than a detective.


Emily Procter’s uniform in the crime series CSI: Miami is a better example of what Shanika’s uniform would look like, it’s professional and modern looking.


A bad example of what Ben’s uniform could look like is the one worn by Robert Downey Jr. in the 2009 remake of Sherlock Holmes because it is outdated and not commonly associated with forensic scientists.
