Editing

I first edited my image by giving my model Emily a full fringe. I used the clone tool and Healing tool to increase the size of the fringe.



I also change the colour of her lips from pink to red using the magic wand and the hue/saturation manipulator.

To get my sin city look, i duplicated a layer ontop of the original and desaturated it. I then used the erase tool with an opacity on 30% to add colour to Emily, but not the background.

Next i added rain to my image. I made a new layer and applied a noise which i thresholded and gave a gaussian blur so the dots became white and speckled. I then added a motion blur on an angle to make the effect look like a light mist.

I wanted my image to look darker, like night. I used the burn tool and screened the image twice. I also darkened the shadows using the levels tool.

Lastly i wanted the rain to stand out more. Instead of repeating the previous rain step i made a brush using a white dot and the wind filter. I created a new layer and then I changed the flow of the brush so it randomly scattered around the page and finished by changing the layers opacity so it looked more realistic.
