Headline Font

As I have now decided on the name of my magazine I will need to decide on the font for the headline of my magazine. The word 'Viper' comes from the venemous snake. This fits in well with the feel of my magazine. To heighten the grungey feel I will select fonts I feel connote this.

I deliberately chose fonts that were distorted to achieve the grungey look that I wanted. I like quite a few of the fonts as I feel they are all successful in connoting the rebellish look that I want. My favourite font is called 'Masterplan' and I will be using this for the heading of my magazine. I can consider using some of the other fonts in other aspects of my magazine.

This is the finished headline of my magazine. I applied various effects to make the font stand out and grab attention. I chose a red font because it contrasts well against the black background of my front cover and also connotes the idea of danger and power. I added a black stroke, outer glow and bevel emboss effect to give the font an edgier look.
