5.How Did You Attract/Address your audience?

I used a few similar techniques kerrang and terrorizer use to attract their audience, for example using the main subject of the main article as the front cover, as this is usually of a well known artist of the genre of music i was aiming to breach (metal). also kerrang keep their front cover busy and put loads of other band names on the front of other articles inside, they also use words like "exclusive" and "win" to give the feel the news/article is just in that magazine so they must buy it. i have used this as my magazine is aimed at a almost similar audience.

Heavy Bands/Culture


My unique selling point is that i combined the culture with the heavy music they listen to instead of having one or the other like kerrang and metal hammer. to do this i used the general dress style, colour interest and overall style to address that of my target audiences, then i used the heavy bands my target audience would typically listen to.
