My target audience was teenagers aged from around 14 - 20, particularly those interested in indie and alternative music. Stereotypically, these people would like bright colours and shop in mainstream highstreet fashion shops such as Topshop and H&M. They would also probably watch TV shows such as Skins and I even based some of my models looks on the main characters of this show as I thought it would appeal to my audience.
NME has around 411,000 readers, 73% of which are male and 27% female. The average reader age is 25 and the specific target audience for this magazine is males aged 17-20. My magazine is aimed mainly at the same age range, however it is aimed at both males and females and also includes slightly younger teenagers. This means that the content of my magazine will probably be slightly less masculine and would have to be more approachable for younger teens as well.
I think that my audience would be enticed to buy my magazine as it includes everything that they would find interesting, looks professional and exciting and is reasonably priced. If my magazine was produced, I think that it would be very popular and even rival some of the big music magazines like Kerrang! and NME.
