Contents development

My background i created using brush tools and the grunge sets online.

For the title i used CRANK but made it grey and transparent. This keeps the focuse on the word CONTENTS. I made it red to stand out.

I liked the idea of polaroids in my work. I used a square with a photo filter on to make it look aged. The picture i desaturated slightly to match the photo filter.

Using my photo's of bands i created and arranged them on the page. leaving space for my main image and the stories at the bottom.

I wanted to put the text along the bottom of the picture but it didnt look right.

This font i put a red stroke around. I really like this but i need a way to show it clearly.

Using my inspiration, i thought about using tape to show the text. It looks like now the tape is sticking the polaroid down while showing the text.

I added my main image to the background. I thought about using a polaroid but so it stood out i left it on the background.

Using my inspiration, i wanted splats on for page numbers. I used the grunge brush set to get the splats.

For the page number i used my type writer font. This meant that i kept the continuety of fonts high thoughout the magazine.

I needed more text on the page so the text i made very organised seperated by lines

I also finished the stories and added a line with page number to match my double page spread.

I needed to specify what the pictures where. so i whote Front Fretures along the side so the audience would understand better.

I finally needed some page numbers for the stories at the bottom. I used a white splat with red text to seperate them from the front cover splats. Because the brush set was huge i was able to use different splats for each page number.

Lastly to keep the them of double lines i underlined front features.
