The main model that I had chosen to photograph was a student called Claire, as I felt her general style suited my magazine perfectly and her modelling ability was excellent as she was able to model a variety of strong poses. I tried to base my poses on existing artists like Kate Nash and Lily Allen, and decided to use a guitar as my main prop for my double page spread image as it is a conventional prop for music magazines of my genre. Both my shot and the above photograph of Kate Nash are mid-shots. In addition, I tried to replicate Kate Nash's pose in my own shot, and I think that Claire did an excellent job.
These images are photographs of stereotypical indie kids who would probably be interested in reading my magazine. In my photographs, I tried to emulate this style as much as possible, using stereotypical clothing items and accessories like the ones the above people are wearing.
