Research - Fonts

Fonts
I also looked at the font used in the magazines and found that all of the fonts are quite simple, with the exceptions of the main names of the magazines and sometimes the band names which are more interesting looking. I looked at different fonts on DaFont.com and decided on a few different fonts I liked. For my main magazine name I used the font “Defused” which I thought resembled the font that the “Kerrang” title is in. I continued this font into my Contents page for the “Whats Inside” title. For the name of my band I thought I could use a font specific to the band and therefore I used more fancy writing for “The Articles” both on the front cover and on my double page spread. The font I used for this was “Broken Ghost”. I also used the font “Note this” for the “An Interview with...” part of my front cover as I thought it looked effective against the “The Articles” text and I thought it was a good way to explain why this particular band was on the front cover.
