This is the magazine cover I managed to create on photoshop for the prelim exercise. It is far from perfect in many ways but as I am new to photoshop it could have gone a lot worse. The font is a major problem for this as it is to young for the desired audience, of college students. The picture is okay but could be made more dynamic through being at a different angle or with the model looking straight at the camera. 
The contents page could again be improved because of the font. The picture on the other hand is very suitable for a college magazine as it shows a care free student. The layout is good with the pictures on one side and the writing on the other and it doesn't look to ordered as the pictures overlap.
