Crank it up Text

On my front cover, i needed the name of the magazine stand out off the page. therefor i changed the text red as it stands out on the black, as does white. I didnt like the plain text as it didnt fit with the magazine and looked boring so i created an extra layer and using the grunge brush made an imprint onto the text.
Using the eraser i rubbed put out parts of the brush so it didnt over dominate the text.

As i said earlier in the blog i wanted the magazine to be called Crank it up. so i re-arranged the "it up" to somewhere were it looked presentable. I liked the postion between the C but audience feedback showed me that it could be confusing if you were new to the magazine.
