Existing Magazine Contents Pages

This is a contents page taken from an issue of NME magazine. As you can see, the page is packed full of text with a central image and doesn't seem to waste any valuable space. The sections of the magazine are clearly subtitled and this allows the reader to easily see what is included within the magazine and how to find it. I like the large, bold titles as they draw attention to the page making it more interesting and clear to look at. The page uses the same font throughout and the white, red and black colouring keeps the page structured and simple whilst still looking professional and of high standard.

This is another NME contents page, however, this is evidently very different to the previous contents page discussed. This contents uses alot more colour and the layout is less structured which seems to give the page a more 'informal' feel. The feminine colours - pink and yellow - work well together keeping the page bright and eyecatching attracting younger people to the magazine. Both of these contents pages have coupons at the bottom of the page informing the reader on how to save money. This can attract more customers as people tend to want to save money at any oppportunity. This contents page uses more shapes to appeal to potential customers as these pieces of text stand out as they are included in the page in an interesting way.
