At this point, we have the finalised plan for the first 2 minute section of our film. The plan for our film is to the same genre as we have been expecting and researching. It will be a detective crime thriller, involving the murder of a young woman. Shanika and Jake are the lead detectives on the case, Ben is the eccentric forensic scientist who analyses the evidence and James is the murderer.
It begins late at night, when the two detectives arrive at the scene and find the body. The credits appear with each photograph of the crimescene taken by one of the detectives. There are then a couple more scenes within the first 2 minutes, including the results of the fingerprinting/DNA test and a possible argument between the two detectives as to the nature of how the case should continue to be run. It will end with a nondescript shot of the killer, probably just his hands, working at a computer, on which he has images of the three P.I's working on his murder. This increases the mystery of the killer's persona, creating tension.

  1. Interesting use of comparison to decide on costume! Following our discussion on title sequences try looking at some other films in your genre that use credits in the opening scene.
