Having looked at some cover spreads, for an idea of my page spread, i found some interesting shots of a British Female Artist, Pixie Lott.
In the shot, she has had two different pictures taken both at different height levels except they have been merged together in one image which would make an ideal cover photo.
This is because one half of the A3 sheet can be photo's whilst the other half could be the text side.
This creates a clean cut balance and it is not in your face as much. Also, I think for a man to enjoy the magazine more, instead of over complicating a double page spread with multiple images, one excellent image makes up for it all.
I want it to be striking, much like a cover shot.
The 'bond girl' theme has been used successfully by many female artists, try looking up how Madonna was promoted circa 2002. How would featuring an artist in this way help you define the target audience of your magazine?
